Meet Our Team
Business Operations Manager
Jessica is our Business Operations Manager and who you’ve come to know as your first point of contact. She is responsible for managing all of Horus Scientific’s non-technical operations; including Business Development, Customer Service, Finance, and Human Resources. Jessica comes to Horus well versed in Laboratory Support and provides assistance to the team in any way possible. Jess began her career in the laboratory industry in 2007 and has helped both patients and clinicians in a variety of specialties including OB/GYN, IVF, Oncology, and Home Health & Hospice. She was introduced to the field of Anatomic Pathology in 2016 and has been fascinated with it ever since. While working closely with the Chief of Pathology at a local Massachusetts hospital, Jess was amazed how a small biopsy can tell so much about an individual and is thrilled to move into pre-clinical research. Jessica looks forward to assisting you with questions about our services and learning about your study needs!
Kathryn Regan, HT(ASCP)
As Horus Scientific’s Operations Director, Kate is responsible for the global oversight of the facility’s full-service histopathology products and compliance programs. She began her career in early 2006 where she was trained on-the-job at a Boston area contract research organization. From there, the art of histology became her hobby and trade. Kate was ASCP certified in 2010 and has participated in a variety of industries (CROs, Hospitals, Veterinary Diagnostic, Contract Necropsy). Over the past 14 years, she has developed expertise in paraffin, frozen, and plastic histology methods, as well as immunohistochemistry. She is also well trained in post-mortem examination and tissue collection on most species, the vast majority including delicate prosection of medical devices/implants. Over the years, Kate also developed a talent for personnel and program management and is thrilled to be in a leadership position that allows for technical, hands-on histology satisfying her interest in the art.
